The 2017 edition of the CyD Report highlights a more positive perception of the University in the last six years. In addition, it points out the importance of prioritizing the support given to universities by public administrations and economic and social agents, as well as the need to promote the science and technology system and improve the indicators related to research, transfer and international orientation to progress in the positioning of the Spanish university system. The collaboration between Columbus and Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo also materialized in the publication of the book: The reform of governance in European university systems.
In the event, held at the Casa de América Amphitheater in Madrid, was attended by personalities of the Spanish Higher Education System, highlighting the presence of Ana Patrícia Botín (President of the Fundación CyD), Roberto Fernández (President of the Consejo de Rectores de Universidades Españolas), Javier Monzón (President of the Executive Committee of the Fundación CyD), Antonio Abril (President of the Conference of Social Councils of Spain) and the special assistance of Pedro Duque, Minister of Innovation, Science and Universities of Spain.
